This new version actually introduced some weird stuff:

  • Sometimes a whole bunch of slimes spawn inside another group, as if they are multiplying (happened in previous version also)
  • I also sometimes saw them just disappear, but maybe the were overlapping or something (noticed in this version)
  • Sometimes there were overlapping slimes, making a really loud sound as they were all killed at the same time
  • Framerate dropped dramatically at some point (noticed in this version first, maybe because of the next point).
  • New in this version: Sometimes slimes lose track of me and are focusing on one specific seemingly random point. It seemed like they were tracking my position at the moment when they spawned, not following my new position.
  • Because of the previous point, I killed less, more slimes spawned and thus the framerate dropped.
  • Also experienced some freezes (1 - 2 seconds), not sure about the conditions anymore.
  • Didn't notice the collider issue anymore, but also couldn't remember where the exact spot was.

Really nice! This looks really polished and plays fluently. Cool! I do think it's a bit boring because of the lack of variation (in enemies and powerups), there's no incentive for breaking my pattern of circling around the mob.

But, if you intend to extend further upon this you have a really, really solid base game!

Did encounter one 'bug'. I wanted to go between the rock and tree to the right'ish, but I couldn't, so I died :-/ Maybe I didn't see an obstacle, but it really looks like a clear path.

Hey swoopie, thank you for the feedback! Glad you liked it as a minigame. :) I'll check back on that collider as well.

Fun vampire survivor clone. The bow is easiest, but the sword has a higher skill cap and is necessary for the lategame when it gets so laggy the red guys just huddle up in groups and don't move. Similar to vampire survivor, its best to pick new abilities that you want in your kit if you have the chance, in order to lock them in.

Fleet footwork is the most important ability, both early and late. Early it allows you to kite better and level faster. Late it allows you to level at all, without it you won't be able to pick up many gems. However, in the extreme late game when it gets laggy, the move speed is actually a nerf as it makes it harder to control your character. I build both Giant and Heavy Armor to offset the move speed. Finally, I pick Concentration as I think that will improve your DPS the most.

I got to 111382 at 10:20 with Fleet Footwork, Heavy Armor, Giant, and Concentration.

Although Light Armor is very strong in the early game, the move speed nerf lategame is too much. Range is probably the most important dps ability, so for that reason Relentless is a good dps ability, but weaker than Concentration imo. Similarly, Fast Reflexes is actually pretty bad because of the nerf to range. Berzerk and the other attack speed abilities are mid. Not bad, but I wouldn't consider them competetive with only 4 slots.

I don't know if this is a bug, but at some point it would only roll be a very limited set of options (basically berzerk and food). After refreshing I got normal rolls. I started refreshing in between each round in order to reset the rolls.

Hey mate, glad you had fun with the minigame and thank you so much for your in-depth feedback! :)

Your highscore is impressive! And I agree to almost everything you mentioned balance-wise. Nice summary.

Thanks also for putting my attention on the bug regarding follow-up sessions. I have a hunch what I forgot there and will check that.
